Chappaqua AYSO Extra Program

AYSO EXTRA is a travel program available to all U12 AYSO players who desire to play more competitive soccer and participate in more serious training. The program consists of one practice during the week conducted by professional trainers and an Area travel game schedule on Saturday afternoons. EXTRA teams also participate in two or more Area tournaments during the year. Through CUSP [Chappaqua United Soccer Program], AYSO’s partnership program with CYSC, players on Club teams are allowed to participate in Extra so that they may continue playing with their friends or play in an additional game each week. The cost of the Extra program is approximately $150 per season, which covers uniform rental, trainers’ fees, and tournament entries.

In brief:

• EXTRA is open to all. There are no tryouts.
• EXTRA players must play on their regular or core AYSO teams.
• EXTRA practices are on a weekday afternoon or evening.
• EXTRA games are played on Saturday afternoons.
• Coaches are volunteer team parents, but professional trainers will conduct all practices.
• Coaches must have a minimum U12 AYSO certification.
• The expense of the trainers will be borne by the team, as will any optional additional expenses.
• EXTRA teams participate in an Area Wide travel schedule of play.
