Next Steps

Whew! I’ve registered! Now what?

What’s the Board doing?
Immediately after the last registration date, the Board begins the process of putting teams and the schedule together for the season. When this process is completed, uniforms will be ordered and coaches will be notified.

When do the coaches get their teams?
Coaches should expect to receive their team rosters by the second week of September.

When do the players get called?
Teams may begin practice on or after 9/19 and the coaches will typically contact you the second week of September (but could be later). They’ll give you all the info you need in regards to practice times and location.

It’s September and my coach hasn’t emailed. What do I do?
If you haven’t been contacted by 9/14, send a message to your Division Coordinator. Please visit our Contacts page for contact information.

What else does my child need?
The registration fee includes the complete uniform (jersey, shorts, socks).

Shin guards are required for all players.  Shin guards are provided by AYSO for the U5 and U6 divisions only.  All others should make sure you have properly sized shin guards.

In addition, you may need to obtain shoes and a soccer ball.  Soccer cleats are recommended.  No metal or sharp plastic spikes are allowed.

How often are practices and games?

For U10 and younger divisions the practices & games are held on Saturdays (field and times determined prior to the start of the season).

The U12, U14 and U19 divisions practice on Saturdays and play games against other local towns on Sundays.

Please Remember…
AYSO is a parent-based volunteer organization established to provide a positive experience for our children. Go to the games, learn the rules and above all, be tolerant of the children’s coaches and referees who volunteer their time to make this a great organization.  Then, volunteer yourself!  This program doesn’t exist without our parent volunteers!
